Hubbard’s Cave Hopsurd DDH
November 21, 2022
Hubbard’s Cave is an off shoot of Une Annee Brewing in Niles, IL. Une Annee’s original focus was all Belgian beers and Hubbard’s was created as a way to focus their attention on other beers, such as this delicious IPA. I have seen their beers all over Instagram for awhile and now I know why. This beer is a hazy imperial pale ale and has an ABV at 8.5%. It pours a dark, murky, brownish-orange color with a well formed head. The nose is soft and layered with tropical notes and hops. The mouthfeel is nice and silky and has wonderful flavors of guava and papaya with a nice hoppy balance. It was so delicious and easy to drink that I could have easily sat and polished off an entire four pack if I had the inclination.
