Christian Moerlein began in Cincinnati in 1853 and was shut down during prohibition. It was brought back to life in 1981 and after several changes in ownership it was purchased in 2004 and brought back to Cincinnati were it has been going strong since. This particular brew is a Belgian Witbier. It pours a pale brownish yellow color with a modest head formation. There are nice bready aromas after the pour. The flavors are sweet with some banana bread and a hint of orange. Belgian are not my go to style but this brew is quite enjoyable.
