Louis Jadot Macon-Villages Chardonnay 2016
May 3, 2020
I have always felt that French wines (both red and white) lend themselves to characteristics of their terroir more so than American wines. I find flavors of minerality and soil in the wines more often in the French wines. I say this not as a good or bad thing, just as a “thing.” Aromas of lemon, honeysuckle, and honeydew melon. Low acidity. Flavors of lemon, vanilla, and green apple. Nice white. Refreshing and crisp on the opening with soft vanilla tones on the back. Not so much the terroir complexity that I was initially expecting but it is still a nice, easy drinking white wine.
