Le P’tit Martin 2015
March 25, 2020
A Cote Du Rhone made up of Grenache and Syrah. When I first smelled this wine to assess its aroma my first impression was, “This smells like a fart.” Now, knowing that describing a wine as smelling like a fart would not inspire others to try it, I thought harder to discern the aromas. I finally decided on musty aromas of mushroom and plums. I think that comes across much better than “fart” don’t you? Medium tannins with a smooth finish and flavors of blueberries. Even with the auspicious beginning, this wine drinks well and has some interesting stuff going on. I love a good Cote Du Rhone and although it would not rank as one of my favorites, this one is worth the price to try.
