Domaine Petroni Corse 2015
July 16, 2020
A French wine made from 50% Nielluccio, 35% Syrah and 15% Grenache. When I purchased this wine, I had never heard of Niellucio as a grape before. This grape is from Corsica, hence the name of the wine, Corse; which is the capital of Corsica. I was well versed with Syrah and Grenache however, so I rolled the dice hoping the primary grape would be a good one. The wine is a nice, dark purple color. Aromas of black berry, plum and perhaps raisin. Medium in body and acidity. Flavors of raisin and black berry. This wine has an almost port like taste. Nice wine.
