The Four Graces Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2018
October 31, 2020
Pinot was one of the first wines that I fell for back in 1991. I soon found out that truly good Pinots were (way) out of my price point. At 24 dollars this wine is at the limit of what I would usually be willing to pay. I am embarrassed to admit it, but this is the first Oregon Pinot I have tried. This Pinot has a beautiful rich dark color which in my experience is unusual for a Pinot. By color alone I would not have guessed this to be a Pinot. Not a big nose. Aromas of cherry cola and tobacco. The cola aroma comes in huge in the flavor profile with some mushroom and cranberry on the back end. This is a delicious wine. A far bigger wine than I was expecting.
