My new favorite show, V is for Vino.

I must confess, I am a total wine nerd. Yes, I fully admit to my nerdiness when it comes to anything wine related. If there is a movie or show related to wine…I have watched it. So when I saw this “new” show on Amazon, V is for Vino, I immediately began watching it (I am currently on the second episode of season two).

I will say, with all humility, I am now their biggest fan. This show hits all the best points for me: discovering wine regions – check; exploring fabulous food in amazing restaurants – check; meeting wine makers and having interesting conversations – check; getting a feel for the wine area – check; totally geeking over wine – double check!

The Host of this show is Vince Anter. Vince is from Cleveland, so props for being an Ohio native. I must first admit to being INCREDIBLY jealous of him. If I could describe my perfect dream job…He has it! Wine, travel, interesting people and amazing food. What more could you possibly want?

Not only does he have my dream job, but this guy is very likeable. Try as I might to hate this guy for having the job of my dreams, there is no way to hate him. Vince does a masterful job of making the show incredibly approachable. He combines lots of excellent knowledge with a very engaging and affable personality. You can not help but like this guy.

My favorite part of this show is the “nerd” segment. In this part of the show, Vince spends a few minutes explaining a very specific idea about wine: soil, acidity, tannins, etc… This segment appeals to the wine geek in me (and in all of us). I have learned and been entertained throughout the shows.

I can not recommend this show strongly enough. If you are an enophile or self admitted wine geek…this show is right up your alley. (Love it!!)
