Mer Soleil Unoaked Chardonnay 2016

Mer Soleil located in gorgeous, Monterey County, California has produced a beautiful unoaked chardonnay with this wine. Very pale yellow color in the glass.  On the nose, tangy lemon and grapefruit aromas with a hint of apricot. Since there is no oak the aroma has a kind of clean austerity to it.  Flavors are crisp with grapefruit, lemon, apricot and floral notes.  There is a silkiness to this wine that leaves a lovely residue of flavors on the palate.  An absolutely delicious, especially at such a great price point.
