MVRK Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

This cabernet sauvignon comes from Hess Collection Winery located in Napa, CA. This particular cabernet is their first produced with grapes from Paso Robles, which is one of my all time favorite wine areas. Paso is known for producing red wines that are rich and robust and incredibly distinctive. This wine pours a nice dark burgundy color with aromas of chocolate covered cherries. The soft tannins lend a nice round mouthfeel that leads into flavors of cherry, milk chocolate, black pepper and mint. I have always enjoyed wines from Hess. Though they produce some wines around the $16 mark that are very drinkable, I think that spending a bit more and moving into their wines that sit around the $30 mark is a significant difference in quality. I definitely think it is worth the price jump.
